Humboldt county, calif. (kiem) — A Humboldt County Correctional Deputy is currently in isolation after testing positive for Covid-19.
The correctional deputy was recently tested as part of a routine medical screening and remains asymptomatic. According to HCSO, Public Health contact investigators identified 3 additional correctional deputies who had direct exposure, and are now in quarantine pending the results of their covid-19 tests.
The Sheriff’s Office is working with the facility’s medical provider, Wellpath, and Public Health to test all inmates with possible exposure. Thorough disinfectant cleaning has, and will continue to be conducted in all impacted areas of the jail.
