Food for People hosting free produce distributions

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) – For those in need of food assistance, Food for People is hosting several free produce distributions across Humboldt County.

Starting July 14, through the end of October, the distributions will be offered in Eureka, Fortuna, Garberville and Redway.

Masks are required and social distancing orders must be observed. For those attending drive-thru sites, it is asked that you make room in your vehicle as volunteers load the produce directly into the trunk.

The Eureka Drive-Thru Distribution will be held every 3^rd Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the north parking lot at the Bayshore Mall.

The Fortuna Drive-Thru Distribution will be held every 3^rd Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Fortuna Community Services parking lot.

The Garberville Walk-Up Produce Distribution will be help every 2^nd Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Garberville Presbyterian Church.

The Redway Drive-Thru Distribution will be held every 2^nd Tuesday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Redway Baptist Church.
