Former Humboldt Crabs outfielder Damian Henderson signs with Cincinnati Reds

ARCATA, Calif. (KIEM) – Former Humboldt Crabs outfielder Damian Henderson has signed with the Cincinnati Reds.

This comes as an inspiring surprise as many did not expect Humboldt Crabs players to be scouted this year, due to the setbacks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Henderson took to Instagram Friday, stating.. “Holy cow… I’m a red… Let’s go!” His message followed with thanks to those that have been by his side through the ups and downs, as well as a World Series comment, stating, “WORLD SERIES RING OR BUST!!!”

Henderson is the Crabs’ current single season home run leader with 10 last year.

He currently plays as an outfielder for the Cal State University Bakersfield Runners, but will soon be leaving his collegiate career behind.
