100th Birthday Celebration in Fortuna

FORTUNA, Calif. (KIEM) – Fortuna resident June Patton celebrated a very special day.

Patton turned 100 years old and was surprised with a drive-by celebration at Sequoia Springs. Family, friends, and firefighters came out to celebrate her birthday.

Cars poured into the driveway sporting personalized birthday signs. Patton is a mother of three daughters and has five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She loves Smokey the Bear who happened to make a guest appearance for the special occasion. Patton is known for volunteering in the community and recording thousands of volunteer hours.
