Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office investigating structure fire at Eureka home

EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a structure fire that broke out at a home Wednesday afternoon.

It happened just before 3 pm on the 6100 block of Humboldt Hill Road. When Humboldt Bay Fire arrived on scene, crews found a small fire in the interior of the home. Firefighters extinguished the blaze and no injuries were reported.

According to HBF public information officer Amy Conlin, right now the cause is under investigation. She tells Redwood News the sheriff’s office will be taking over and leading the investigation.
