Cal Fire Staffing

Humboldt County, Calif. (KIEM) – Major wild fires are currently burning in Humboldt and neighboring Siskiyou and Trinity Counties with more throughout Northern California.

The Cal Fire Humboldt, Del Norte unit in Fortuna has all staffing on, air crafts in place and are currently hiring to cover engines and crews while all current staff are out on fires.

Cal Fire would like to remind you that you can help prevent forest fires by using equipment with metal blades in the early morning hours and keeping a defensible space around your property.
