Measure Q Tax Extension Will Be on November Ballot

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – A ballot measure addressing significant recovery and quality of life needs has been added to the November ballot for Eureka residents.

The measure would extend the existing Measure Q local funding tax by a dollar and 25 cents.

This would help address the need to stabilize local finances, public safety services, street maintenance, homelessness prevention, and other core city services.

If enacted by voters, all of the funding raised by the measure would continue to be locally controlled and would be subject to an independent citizen’s oversight committee.
