Bell ready to return to training after Bellator 242

MONTVILLE, Conn. (KIEM) – Cass Bell made his return to the cage at Bellator 242 and suffered his first loss.

Bell said it was the next big step in his career as the fight was a major increase in competition level. He entered the cage undefeated and his opponent, Raufeon Stots, only held one loss. The fight continued through Round 3, when Stots caught Bell in a rear-naked choke. Stots would win by submission advancing to 14-1, while Bell fell to 5-1.

On the flight home Bell had a message for his fans. He talked about the lack of preparation for the fight due to the COVID-19 pandemic and expressed his appreciation for the support of Humboldt County fans. Bell said he can’t wait to get back to training.
