HSU Men’s Basketball secures three transfers

ARCATA, Calif. (KIEM) – Three transfers are joining the Humboldt State Men’s Basketball roster this year.

Daniel Estes and AJ Sims will be transferring from West Los Angeles College, while Caleb Giordano will be transferring from San Diego State University.

Estes, a 6-5 forward, was an All-Conference Honoree during his time at West LA College. This past season, he averaged 7.4 points, 6.1 rebounds per game and shot 53% from the field.

Giordano, a 6-3 shooting guard, has three available seasons to play after redshirting his freshman year at SDSU. This past season, he appeared in 11 games for the Aztecs who went 30-2.

Sims, a 6-1 guard, averaged 9.2 points this past season, as well as 4.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. This past academic year, he was on the Dean’s List at West LA College.

These three recruits will join six other incoming players who signed with the Lumberjacks earlier this summer.
