4 new Covid-19 cases reported Tuesday, total case count increases to 221

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Public Health Department reports 4 new cases of Covid-19 Tuesday bringing the total case count for Humboldt County to 221. The county’s alert level remains at level 3.

According to County Health Officer Dr. Frankovich, it took 105 days for Humboldt County to reach 109 cases and we have doubled that number in just 45 days.

Right now, health officials are monitoring 33 active cases. To date, 184 people have recovered from the virus. Of the total cases, 116 had contact to a known case, 64 were travel related, and 30 were a result of community transmission. Currently, there are 11 cases still under investigation.
