2020 Zootini event shifts to an online platform

EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM)-For the first time in fourteen years , the Sequoia Park Zoo’s annual Zootini event will be live streamed through a digital platform.

Staff at the zoo are not only bringing the virtual experience into your homes, but have some fun surprises in store for residents this year.

Staff at the zoo spent eight weeks filming the special segment. The virtual event gives you the opportunity to take a behind the scenes look at the animals and what they are up to. The zoo will also you some of their new exhibits.

And it doesn’t stop there. An online auction will be available this coming Saturday for you to bid on. Some of the experiences people can bid from range from breakfast with the beasts, movie night at the zoo, the zookeeper experience, and many more!

You can also purchase your very own Zootini swag bag. The bags help you experience the zoo right at home. Items included are zoo branded cotton masks, signature zootini glasses, and snacks.

Director of Marketing and Events for the zoo, Ashley Mobley says she wanted to make sure Zootini still went on this year. Thanks to staff coming together it was possible.
