3.2 Million Dollars for Local Small Businesses

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM) – The County Board of Supervisors approves $3.2 million dollars in small business funding from the cares act.

The funding may be used to purchase personal protective equipment for employees and/or customers.

Rental assistance for times of closure during the shelter in place order, expenses related to eviction prevention, costs associated with complying with social distancing orders and cleaning supplies, and other expenses related to Covid-19.

To be eligible, the business needs to be located in Humboldt County, be independently owned by residents, have less than 99 full time employees, and have been open as of March 20th.
