Mental Health Services Act Open to Public Comment

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM) – Humboldt County’s Mental Health Services Act’s annual update and three year plan is now open for public comment.

Proposition 63, which was passed by voters in 2004, placed a one percent tax on personal incomes over $1 million dollars to develop and support local mental health programs.

Residents are able to comment on the plan through August 27th, when a public hearing will take place online with the Humboldt County Behavioral Health Board.
