Trees for Eureka

Eureka, Calif. (KIEM) – Keep Eureka Beautiful volunteers will be planting trees this tomorrow on West Del Norte Street.

This all volunteer group was founded in 1996 to educate the community about the importance of beautification within Eureka neighborhoods as a building block in preventing crime, calming traffic and promoting economic development.

In 2006 it was decided they would have the biggest impact if they focused specifically on lining the streets of Eureka with trees. Tomorrow they will be at it again planting 10 trees.

If you would like to see this positive and uplifting activity that benefits the community, visit them tomorrow morning from 9:30am to 10:30am at 306 West Del Norte Street in Eureka.
