3 new Covid-19 cases, 5 more recoveries reported for Humboldt County Monday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Public Health Department confirms 3 new cases of Covid-19 Monday bringing Humboldt County’s total case count to 236. The county’s alert level remains at level 3.

Since last week, 2 more case has been reported in northern Humboldt, 37 more in the greater Humboldt Bay area, and 4 more in southern Humboldt. Five more recoveries have also been reported bringing that number to 189.

As far as the age breakdown of cases, the biggest weekly increase has been among people in their 20’s with 11 new cases reported in that age group. Two more people under the age of 20, 2 more people in their 40’s, 3 more people in their 50’s, and one more person in their 80’s have also tested positive in the last week.

The mean age of cases is now 38. As far as gender breakdown, 47% of cases are among males, 52% are female, and for 1% of cases gender is unknown.
