Recology Humboldt County offers free bulky item pickup to customers

SAMOA, Calif. (KIEM)- Do you have any bulky items in your home that you need to dispose of?

Recology Humboldt County is here to take those items away if you would like. The company allows its customer’s two options every year for a free pickup, and the process is quite simple.

The facility currently services customers in Eureka and Arcata. Workers will swing by your home twice a year for your free pickup.

Items that you want tossed have to be at least two cubic yards in length. This can include household items like mattresses, couches, washing machines, and refrigerators.

You can set the item out the same day as garbage day. a driver will come by and spray your item prior to putting it in the truck. Recology understands that it can be difficult for residents to lift and transfer bulky items. That is why this service is available to you.
