Firewood Vouchers for Seniors

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – The Humboldt Senior Resource Center will be providing low-cost vouchers to purchase firewood for households with a member over age 55.

Vouchers are offered on a sliding scale  between $100 to $150 dollars. Vouchers can be used at the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Work Alternative Program lot in Eureka to purchase one cord of wood.

To purchase a voucher you will need to call the Senior Service Office at 707-502-0610 to be added to a purchasing list, but you cannot call before the start date of August 17th.
