Reminders for North Coast voters ahead of Election Day

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — With Election Day just a few months away, the Humboldt County Office of Elections has some reminders for North Coast voters.

First, make sure all of your voter registration information is up to date. You can check your registration status at www.voterstatus.sos.ca.gov. For this year’s election, all registered voters will receive a ballot in the mail to ensure a safe and accessible voting option amid covid-19.

Here’s how to return your mail-in ballot. You can mail it out on or before Election Day, you can drop it off at any vote by mail drop box location, or you can also personally take it to any of voter assistance center between October 31st and November 3rd. You can also track your ballot using www.wheresmyballot.sos.ca.gov.

If you choose to vote in-person, remember to bring your vote by mail ballot to swap out for a precinct ballot. For more information you can visit the Humboldt County government website.
