3 car accident sends expectant mother to hospital, Causes traffic backups

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM)-U.S. Highway 101 is now back open after a three-car accident sends an expectant mother to the hospital.

Traffic was backed up for at least five to six miles Southbound along the 101.
According to Humboldt Bay Fire’s captain on scene four people were involved.
Traffic was halted as crews cleared the road of vehicles and debris left from the collision.

The road is now reopened, those who were involved in the accident are expected to be OK.
