Nationwide recall from Fresno based company, Peaches linked to outbreak

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM)-The Food and Drug Administration is announcing an expanded recall of peaches linked to a salmonella outbreak. 

The recall covers bulk, loose and bagged peaches distributed by Fresno based Prima Wawona, sold from June 1 through August 3 and its bagged Wawona and Wawona Organic Peaches distributed and sold from June 1 to August 19. 

Peaches have been distributed nationwide by retailers such as Kroger, Wegman’s, Walmart, Aldi’s and Food 4 Less, among others. 

The CDC says, the peaches likely have caused 68 salmonella cases in nine states.
