2020 Junior Livestock Virtual Auction offers Add-On Contribution for exhibitors

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM)- In just two days the first ever Junior Livestock Virtual Auction collected over $600,000.

Over two-hundred kids virtually showcased their livestock. Some animals that were raised and shown virtually were pigs, chickens, goats, rabbits, and lamb.

And for those who may have missed out on the two-day event there is still an opportunity for you to donate money.  An Ad-On contribution is currently available for community members to utilize on the fairs website. The program gives you the opportunity to support a youth of your choice and donate any amount of money. This will then be added on to the final check they receive.

Fair organizers also added a new element this year to the fair. Bids for Kids gives the option to donate money to the entire livestock as whole. The money will then be split between the exhibitors.

Many of the youth have been working with these animals since last Fall. Fair organizers made sure this year they would still have an opportunity to showcase their animals.
