5 new Covid-19 cases, 2 more recoveries reported Tuesday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Public Health Department reports 5 new cases of Covid-19 Tuesday bringing Humboldt County’s total case count to 393.

Two more recoveries were reported as well, bringing that number to 343. Hospitalizations remains unchanged.

Health officials are currently monitoring 46 active cases. Of the total cases, 228 had contact to a known case, 88 are travel related, and 51 are a result of community transmission. Right now, there are 26 cases under investigation.

Dr. Frankovich also issued a revised facial coverings order that aligns local policy with state guidance. This will hopefully make it easier for the community to navigate prevention measures. For more information, you can visit humboldtgov.org
