HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) – Thanks to a State Coastal Conservancy Grant, the Humboldt County Office of Education launches an addition to its Redwood Edventure Program.
With over two dozen walking quests already available for children and parents to enjoy, three new bike trail quests have been added. Two are along the Hammond Trail in McKinleyville and another on the Eureka Waterfront Trail.
The quests are meant to be fun, educational treasure hunts that allow children and parents to learn about the plants, animals and history within our region.
The three new bike quests feature the ability to read directions and record clues right on a smartphone.
The final clue of each quest is a key that earns a prize for completing the ‘Edventure.’
