HWMA suspends CRV buy back services until further notice

EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM) —  If you were planning to head over to the Eureka Recycling Center to turn in your CRV materials, you’re going to have to wait a little while longer.

Due to overwhelming demand and traffic constraints, the Humboldt Waste Management Authority announces that CRV is once again closed indefinitely. According to HWMA, the full closure will allow for staff to plan out their next steps and they apologized to the community for the inconvenience.

The hazardous waste facility remains open Tuesday through Saturday, but by appointment only. HWMA will hopefully be releasing more information on when they will reopen in the coming days.
