HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) – The Recology Eel River Buyback Centers, which include the Redway and Fortuna Transfer Stations, remain closed.
Due to COVID-19 and buyback center operations requiring frequent human interaction, Recology Eel River closed its doors in March
This week, Recology made the hard decision to keep buyback center closed indefinitely.
Since closing the facilities, Recology has offered free public drop-off for mixed recycling.
They also focus on services related to curbside collection, waste transfer and more.
Recology says these services are critical to maintaining public health and safety standards, especially amid COVID-19.
