Humboldt County offering online dog licensing portal

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — Getting a dog license in Humboldt County is now easier than ever thanks to a new online platform.

The online dog licensing portal recently launched by the Sheriff’s Office allows residents to purchase or renew their license from anywhere in the world using a credit or debit card. The new portal is meant for those living outside of incorporated cities, as these cities already have their own licensing databases separate from the county.

According to the county, the new portal will not only be more convenient, but is also a timely addition in the light of Covid-19.
