Eureka City Schools offer free desks to students

EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM)- In an effort to help support families with students enrolled in online distance learning, the Eureka City School District is giving away free used desks to students.

The district decided to do this to provide support to families who are helping their children distant learn. Various sizes are available for students, and desks are currently available free of charge and include an attached chair.

If someone would like a desk all they have to do is contact their child’s school site secretary no later than 3:30 p.m. this Thursday September 10th. There are a limited amount of desks and they will be a first come first serve basis.

Once families receive their desks, the District plans to inform families about a time and date for any remaining desks.
