Bear River Band of Rohnerville Rancheria opens facility for fire evacuees

LOLETA, Calif. (KIEM) – The Bear River Band of Rohnerville Rancheria is opening one of its facilities to provide shelter for fire evacuees.

Starting tomorrow, the Bear River Recreation Center will provide shelter for those that have to evacuate their homes.

There will be four separate areas for larger families and socially distanced singular units for up to 45 individuals.

Along with the shelter, there will be an abundant amount of space outside of the facility for those who wish to tent camp and for vehicle parking.

Hot and cold meals will be provided along with cots, bedding, water, restrooms, showers, hand sanitizer and masks.

Masks are required inside the building and social distance must be maintained. Pets are not allowed inside of the facility.
