Red Salmon Complex grows to more than 90,000

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM)-The Red Salmon Complex Fire has grown to more than 90,000 acres, as it continues to burn across three national forests, just east of the Hoopa Valley Reservation.

The fire started on July 27, at last check, the complex is a combined total of 91,672 acres, and remains 16% contained since last reported.

Additional lines continue to be built and scouted, while community and structure protection in and around Denny and Forks of Salmon remains in place.

The Trinity County Sheriff’s Office lifted the evacuation warning for Denny.

The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office has issued an evacuation order for all of forks of salmon
