EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM)- A project that has been a vision for the community is in its final stages of being complete.
Residents are just one step closer to making a visit to the new Redwood Skywalk at the Sequoia Park Zoo.
The $4,000,000 project was made possible through local lodging alliances, the Land and Water Conservation Fund, Outdoor Environmental Education Facilities, Habitat Conservation Grant, and local donations.
The sky walk will feature unique assets to make residents experience all the more enjoyable. The elevated sky walk will help to educate and engage you through an eco-adventure like no other, and see wildlife from a new perspective.
The project is expected to be completed in late October or early November. The city plans to do a soft opening for residents and from there will work with the county to figure out the appropriate protocols to allow it to fully open for visitors.
The project is just another aspect that will help bring tourism to the North Coast.
