4 Covid-19 cases, 3 new hospitalizations reported Tuesday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Public Health Department reports four new cases of Covid-19 in the area. The increase brings the total number of cases to 489.

Three new hospitalizations have been reported as well. Officials say more than 30 known cases have been connected to single, large gathering that happened last month.

Health officials are currently monitoring 13 active cases. Of the total cases, 316 had contact to a known case, 103 are travel related, and 67 a result of community transmission. There are 3 cases under investigation.

There have been 18 more recoveries reported as well, bringing that number to 470.
