HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM)-If you own an all-terrain vehicle, an independent film company will pay you to use it – if you’re willing to part with it for a week or two in October.

Cassandra Hesseltine is Film Commissioner for the Humboldt-Del Norte Film Commission

“There will be paid compensation, they just want the Gator, they don’t need the driver,” she said. “They will have their own drivers, there Gators would be used behind the scenes in a movie.”

The ATV will be used to move things around behind the scenes -such as equipment for example.

There are two feature films in Humboldt right now, their location is a secret, what’s not a secret, is the money these films will pump back into the local economy.

“What’s amazing when a productions come her, they definitely, obviously stimulate our economy and during this kind of time right now, where all, everywhere is having a hard time, but specifically Humboldt, you know, and Del Norte have had a depressed economy for a long time,” said Hesseltine.  â€śThis kind of stimulus is really helpful.”

For everyone’s safety – the production is adhering to COVID-19 industry protocols by the state, county, and unions.
