FORTUNA, Calif. (KIEM)-A long-time fall tradition held in Fortuna has been cancelled, and the pandemic is to blame.

The Apple Harvest Festival was supposed to be held the first weekend in October and include live music, fair type foods, such as hot dogs and kettle corn, and local artisan craft vendors.

According to event organizers, the Apple Harvest Festival will be back next year with the Downtown Fortuna Street Fair and free hay rides to events all over town.

Live music is also planned for the family day of fun.

The 2021 Downtown Fortuna Street Fair application for vendors will be available in early 2021.
