Orleans man arrested for involvement in armed robbery at a Eureka bank

EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM) — A man is now behind bars for his involvement in an armed robbery at a bank in Eureka.The robbery happened back on September 16th at a bank on the 2800 block of 5th Street. Two male suspects entered the bank, waved a firearm, and took off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Eureka Police, Arcata Police, and the FBI are working together on the investigation, and identified 38-year-old Nolan Colegrove as one of the two suspects.

On September 25th, Arcata Police arrested Colegrove for a drug warrant. Later that day, Colegrove was charged for his involvement in the bank robbery. EPD is also investigating Colegrove’s involvement in the September 9th armed robbery of a check cashing business.

The second suspect has been identified and an arrest is anticipated later this week.
