HCDTF seizes ounces of methamphetamine

EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM) – A month long investigation leads to the arrest of the head of a drug trafficking organization.

The Humboldt County Drug Task Force, with the help of Eureka Police, served a search warrant on the 1100 block of Buhne Street in Eureka on Monday.

Upon knocking, 38-year-old Terrance Reeves ran out of the back of the home and jumped off a second story deck.

Agents set up a perimeter and took Reeves into custody without incident.

The investigation began on August 17 when special agents seized almost four pounds of methamphetamine in Fieldbrook that were related to the same drug trafficking organization.

Then on August 29 HCDTF stopped two vehicles on Highway 101 near Fortuna and seized an additional three pounds of methamphetamine related to the organization.

Reeves has been booked and charged for possession of methamphetamine for sale, conspiracy to commit a crime and more.
