Zogg Fire reaches 90% containment

SHASTA COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM) – Firefighting crews have been making positive strides in the fight against the Zogg Fire in Shasta County.

At last check, the fire stands at 56,338 acres with 90% containment.

Air tankers from throughout the state of California have been flying fire suppression missions.

968 people are currently battling the two fires.

Several agencies are working to restore utilities and increase the fire’s containment.

Evacuation orders and road closures in the area of Zogg Mine Road currently remain in effect.
