Man sentenced to eight years in prison

A man is sentenced to eight years in prison for violating terms of probation.

Judge Timothy Canning sentenced Nathan Michael LaCount to eight years in state prison on October seventh.

LaCount pled guilty in February to charges linked to 2016 and 2019.

The 2016 incident involved a car crash causing injury to a passenger and fled the scene.

The 2019 incident involved LaCount driving under the use of methamphetamine and crashing again, injuring his 3-year-old child.

LaCount has been offered many programs and opportunities to alter his behavior.
