Red Salmon Complex Fire Burns 139,965 acres

KLAMATH, SIX RIVERS, AND SHASTA-TRINITY NATIONAL FORESTS, Ca. (KIEM) – The Red Salmon Complex Fire reaches nearly 140,00  acres with 35% containment.

Crews are reinforcing fire lines in order to protect the communities of Summerville, Cecilville, and Denny.

Other crews continue their defensive burns along the East Fork of the New River.

A slight chance of rain is expected in the area on Saturday, which could help to clear up some of the smoke.
