Zogg Fire reaches 95% containment

SHASTA COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM) – After burning for nearly two weeks, the Zogg Fire in Shasta County reaches 95% containment.

More than 56,000 acres have burned, with four civilian fatalities, and more than 200 structures have been destroyed.

Air tankers from around the State of California are still being called in.

Evacuations and road closures around the area of Zogg Mine Road remain in effect as agencies in the area work on repairing and restoring utilities.
