August Complex Fire is 1,028,801 acres

HUMBOLDT, MENDOCINO, AND TRINITY COUNTIES, Ca. (KIEM) – Good news for crews fighting the August Complex Fire -high humidity over the weekend has dampened fire activity and helped crews reinforce and hold fire lines.

The complex is now 75% contained and has burned 1,028,801 acres.

Helicopters are currently providing support on the North West side of the fire to cool areas that have residual heat.

 Workers have been able to control the fire near Ruth Lake and will continue to mop up in the area.
