A head on collision at the Samoa Bridge left 4 people injured

At around 4pm today, two vehicles collided on the Samoa Bridge over Indian Island on Hwy 255.

According to CHP’s Sergeant Gabe Parker, one of the vehicles was trying to pass the slower vehicle headed north bound with not enough clearance.

In hopes to avoid the crash, both vehicles went into the west shoulder causing head on collision.

One of the vehicles had 3 passengers and the other had a solo driver. All four patients were transported to the hospital with minor to moderate injuries.

Sargent Parker says the patients are still at the hospital, but are now in stable conditions.
