The August Complex Fire reaches 91% containment

SHASTA-TRINITY NF, SIX RIVERS NF, AND MENDOCINO NF , Ca. (KIEM) – The August Complex Fire reaches 91% containment after burning more than 1,032,000 acres.

Higher humidity levels helped crews to make substantial progress securing containment lines near Ruth Lake.

Crews are now performing an aerial observation of the damage to develop a long-term rehabilitation plan for the fire area.
