Increased containment of Slater and Devil Fires

DEL NORTE AND SISKIYOU COUNTIES , Ca. (KIEM) – Fire fighters continue to battle the Slater and Devil Fires.

The Slater Fire is now 82% contained and has burned nearly 157,000 acres.

Suppression repair efforts are underway on the north and south flanks- and will mop op hot spots as needed.

Aeriel and foot patrol continue to monitor the Devil Fire, which is now 60% contained and has burned more than 8,800 acres.
