August Complex Fire is divided into three sections

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM) – The August Complex Fire is more than 1,032,000 acres and is 93% contained.

Due to the large size of the fire, it has been divided into three sections-the North West, North East, and South.

The Pacific Southwest Region is extending the fire restrictions through the October 30th in the interest of fire fighter and public safety, and to prevent more fires from being started in the region.

Private properties that are accessed by a forest system road may require a permit from the U.S.D.A Forest Service.
