HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM) – The Red Salmon Complex is now 78% contained, after burning nearly 144,000 acres.
The fire is still active between 4,000-6,000 ft elevations and much of the eastern flank of the fire remains in a state of low-intensity burning.
More than 200 people are still working on the fire, and predict that it could be fully contained by mid-November.
