7 new Covid-19 cases, 2 more recoveries reported Tuesday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) – The Humboldt County Public Health Department confirms 7 new cases of Covid-19 Tuesday. This brings the county’s total case county to 586 with health officials monitoring 20 active cases.

Of the total cases, 366 people contracted the virus through contact with a known case, 129 were travel related, and 76 a result of community transmission. There are 15 cases still under investigation.

On a more encouraging note, 2 more recoveries were reported as well, bringing that number to 556.

Due to Election Day, the California Department of Public Health has delayed the weekly tier assignment update until Wednesday, November 4th. Humboldt County’s tier placement will be updated at that time.
