The Red Salmon Complex Fire is 78% contained

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM) – The Red Salmon Complex Fire remains just under 145,000 acres with 78% containment.

The complex is being contained by more than 220 people and is expected to be fully contained by the 15th of November.

Steep rugged terrain with parallel ridges and drainages have been hampering direct line construction and suppression repair is underway near cultural sites.

Fuels continue to smolder across the eastern flank of the fire as well as in isolated pockets in the interior.
