Shelter Cove man arrested for assault

SHELTER COVE, Ca. (KIEM) – Humboldt County Sheriff Deputies arrest a man for assault and making death threats.

On Friday,  53 year old, Adam Troy Beauchamp was caught going through  a resident’s mailbox in shelter cove, and later, trying to set a telephone pole on fire on the 7200 block of Shelter Cove Road.

When two men tried to intervene, Beauchamp assaulted one of the men with a knife.  The two men were able to restrain Beauchamp until deputies arrived on the scene.

Beauchamp has been booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility.
