Attempted murder and arson arrest in Hoopa

HOOPA, Ca. (KIEM) – One man is under arrest and facing charges of attempted murder and arson.

Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputies were called out yesterday evening to a home on the 200 block of Heck Creek Road in Hoopa.

Two women were trying to put out a fire that had been set underneath the home.

The women told the deputies they saw 32 year old, Bruce Bussell start the fire and then, take off.

While deputies were investigating, Bussell returned to the home and was taken into custody.

He’s now at the Humboldt County Correctional Facility.

No one was injured during the incident.
