Cheese shop closed until November 23, after employee tests positive for COVID-19

CRESCENT CITY, Calif. (KIEM) – A Crescent City cheese store will be closed until November 23rd to deep clean and thoroughly disinfect the shop after one of their employees tested positive for COVID-19.

The Rumiano Cheese Company’s employee, who tested positive Friday, last worked at the 511 9th Street location in Crescent City on November 9th and is recovering at home.

All employees who may have come in contact with the infected worker have been notified and are now in quarantine for 14 days.

Anyone who stopped by the store on Saturday November 7th between 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. is asked to follow CDD recommended self-monitoring guidelines and those who develop symptoms, should call their healthcare provider.
